[317] "But, friend Sāriputta, what dhammas should a bhikkhu who is an arahant attend to carefully (yoniso manasikāra)?"
"Friend Koṭṭhita, a bhikkhu who is an arahant, too, should carefully attend to these same five aggregates subject to clinging (upādānakkhandhā): as impermanent, as suffering (dukkha), as a disease, as a boil, as a dart, as misery, as an affliction, as alien, as disintegrating, as empty, as not-self. Friend, for the arahant there is nothing further to be done, nor any adding to what has been done. Yet these things, when developed and cultivated, conduce both to a pleasant dwelling in this very life and to mindfulness and clear comprehension."
