[380] At Sāvatthī. Sitting to one side, the Venerable Rādha said this to the Blessed One: "'A thing of impermanent nature, a thing of impermanent nature (aniccadhamma),' venerable sir, it is said. What now, venerable sir, is a thing of impermanent nature?"
"Form (rūpa), Rādha, is a thing of impermanent nature; feeling (vedanā) is a thing of impermanent nature; perception (saññā) is a thing of impermanent nature; volitional formations (saṅkhārā) are a thing of impermanent nature; consciousness (viññāṇa) is a thing of impermanent nature. Seeing thus … he understands: '… there is no more of this state of being.'"
