[98] "And whatever ascetics or brahmins, Soṇa, do not regard themselves as 'I am superior,' do not regard themselves as 'I am equal,' and do not regard themselves as 'I am inferior' on account of form (rūpa), which is impermanent, suffering (dukkha), and subject to change (vipariṇāmadhamma) — what is that due to, other than seeing as it really is (yathābhūta)? On account of feeling (vedanā), which is impermanent … On account of perception (saññā), which is impermanent … On account of volitional formations (saṅkhārā), which are impermanent … On account of consciousness (viññāṇa), which is impermanent, suffering, and subject to change, they do not regard themselves as 'I am superior,' do not regard themselves as 'I am equal,' and do not regard themselves as 'I am inferior' — what is that due to, other than seeing as it really is?"
