[109] "Friend Sāriputta, having seen cessation (nirodha), having directly known cessation in the eye (cakkhu), in eye-consciousness (cakkhuviññāṇa), and in the phenomena cognizable by eye-consciousness (cakkhuviññāṇaviññātabbā dhammā), I regard the eye, eye-consciousness, and the phenomena cognizable by eye-consciousness thus: 'This is not mine, this I am not, this is not my self.' … Friend Sāriputta, having seen cessation, having directly known cessation in the tongue (jivhā), in tongue-consciousness, and in the phenomena cognizable by tongue-consciousness, I regard the tongue, tongue-consciousness, and the phenomena cognizable by tongue-consciousness thus: 'This is not mine, this I am not, this is not my self.' … Friend Sāriputta, having seen cessation, having directly known cessation in the mind (mano), in mind-consciousness (manoviññāṇa), and in the phenomena cognizable by mind-consciousness, I regard the mind, mind-consciousness, and the phenomena cognizable by mind-consciousness thus: 'This is not mine, this I am not, this is not my self.'"
