[248] "Bhikkhus, attend carefully (yoniso manasikāra) to forms (rūpa), and see the impermanence of forms as it really is. Bhikkhus, a bhikkhu attending carefully to forms, seeing the impermanence of forms as it really is, becomes disenchanted with forms. With the destruction of delight comes the destruction of lust; with the destruction of lust comes the destruction of delight. With the destruction of delight and lust, the mind (citta) is said to be well liberated.
"Bhikkhus, attend carefully to sounds… to odours… to tastes… to tangibles… to mental phenomena (dhammā), and see the impermanence of mental phenomena as it really is. Bhikkhus, a bhikkhu attending carefully to mental phenomena, seeing the impermanence of mental phenomena as it really is, becomes disenchanted with mental phenomena. With the destruction of delight comes the destruction of lust; with the destruction of lust comes the destruction of delight. With the destruction of delight and lust, the mind is said to be well liberated."
