[286] One who has crossed this ocean with its monsters (gāha), its demons (rakkhasa), its waves — perilous and hard to cross — he, a master of knowledge (vedagū) who has lived the holy life (brahmacariya), is called one gone to the end of the world, gone to the far shore.
