[455] And what, Bhikkhus, is the equanimity that is spiritual (nirāmisa), more spiritual than the spiritual? When a bhikkhu whose taints (āsava) are destroyed reviews his mind (citta) liberated from lust (rāga), reviews his mind liberated from hatred, reviews his mind liberated from delusion, there arises equanimity: this, Bhikkhus, is called the equanimity that is spiritual, more spiritual than the spiritual.
