[479] Then the Venerable Anuruddha approached the Blessed One … Sitting to one side, the Venerable Anuruddha said this to the Blessed One: "Here, venerable sir, with the divine eye, purified and surpassing the human, I see a woman, with the breaking up of the body, after death, being reborn in a good destination, in a heavenly world. Possessed of how many qualities, venerable sir, is a woman, with the breaking up of the body, after death, reborn in a good destination, in a heavenly world?"
"Possessed of five qualities, Anuruddha, a woman, with the breaking up of the body, after death, is reborn in a good destination, in a heavenly world. Which five? She has faith (saddhā), she has moral shame (hiri), she has moral dread (ottappa), she is free from anger, and she is wise. Possessed of these five qualities, Anuruddha, a woman, with the breaking up of the body, after death, is reborn in a good destination, in a heavenly world."
