[488] Bhikkhus, when a woman (mātugāma) possesses the power of beauty (rūpabala) but not the power of wealth (bhogabala), in that respect she is incomplete. But, bhikkhus, when a woman possesses both the power of beauty and the power of wealth, in that respect she is complete.
When, bhikkhus, a woman possesses the power of beauty and the power of wealth, but not the power of relatives (ñātibala), in that respect she is incomplete. But, bhikkhus, when a woman possesses the power of beauty, the power of wealth, and the power of relatives, in that respect she is complete.
When, bhikkhus, a woman possesses the power of beauty, the power of wealth, and the power of relatives, but not the power of children (puttabala), in that respect she is incomplete. But, bhikkhus, when a woman possesses the power of beauty, the power of wealth, the power of relatives, and the power of children, in that respect she is complete.
When, bhikkhus, a woman possesses the power of beauty, the power of wealth, the power of relatives, and the power of children, but not the power of virtue (sīlabala), in that respect she is incomplete. But, bhikkhus, when a woman possesses the power of beauty, the power of wealth, the power of relatives, the power of children, and the power of virtue, in that respect she is complete.
These, bhikkhus, are the five powers of a woman.
