[564] "Good, venerable sir" … he asked a question: "But, venerable sir, when a bhikkhu is attaining the cessation of perception and feeling (saññāvedayitanirodha), which dhammas cease first in him: the bodily formation (kāyasaṅkhāra), the verbal formation (vacīsaṅkhāra), or the mental formation (cittasaṅkhāra)?" "Householder, when a bhikkhu is attaining the cessation of perception and feeling, the verbal formation ceases first, then the bodily formation, and then the mental formation."
