[635] Therein, headman, this one who enjoys sensual pleasures (kāmabhogī) who seeks wealth unrighteously, by violence, and having sought wealth unrighteously, by violence, makes himself happy and pleased, but does not share it and does not make merit (puñña) — this one who enjoys sensual pleasures, headman, is to be criticized on two grounds and praised on one ground. On which two grounds is he to be criticized? 'He seeks wealth unrighteously, by violence' — on this first ground he is to be criticized. 'He does not share it and does not make merit' — on this second ground he is to be criticized. On which one ground is he to be praised? 'He makes himself happy and pleased' — on this one ground he is to be praised. This one who enjoys sensual pleasures, headman, is to be criticized on these two grounds and praised on this one ground.
