[665] "There is, headman, concentration in Dhamma (dhammasamādhi). If therein you should obtain concentration of mind (cittasamādhi), then in this way you might abandon this state of doubt (kaṅkhādhamma). And what, headman, is concentration in Dhamma? Here, headman, a noble disciple (ariyasāvaka), having abandoned the destruction of life (pāṇātipāta), abstains from the destruction of life; having abandoned the taking of what is not given (adinnādāna), abstains from taking what is not given; having abandoned sexual misconduct (kāmesu micchācāra), abstains from sexual misconduct; having abandoned false speech (musāvāda), abstains from false speech; having abandoned divisive speech (pisuṇā vācā), abstains from divisive speech; having abandoned harsh speech (pharusā vācā), abstains from harsh speech; having abandoned idle chatter (samphappalāpa), abstains from idle chatter; having abandoned covetousness (abhijjhā), he is uncovetous; having abandoned ill will and hatred (byāpādapadosa), he is of a mind without ill will; having abandoned wrong view (micchādiṭṭhi), he is one of right view (sammādiṭṭhi)."
