Suttapiṭaka · Saṁyuttanikāya · Saḷāyatanavaggasaṁyutta · Vol. 18 · Section 793

[793] "It is wonderful, Master Gotama! It is marvellous, Master Gotama! How the meaning of the teacher and of the disciple will accord, will coincide, and will not diverge — meaning with meaning, phrasing with phrasing — that is, with regard to the chief point. Just now, Master Gotama, I approached the ascetic Mahāmoggallāna and asked him about this matter, and the ascetic Mahāmoggallāna answered me on this matter with these very terms and these very phrases, just as Master Gotama has. It is wonderful, Master Gotama! It is marvellous, Master Gotama! How the meaning of the teacher and of the disciple will accord, will coincide, and will not diverge — meaning with meaning, phrasing with phrasing — that is, with regard to the chief point." The seventh.
