[83] Further, Upavāṇa, a bhikkhu, having heard a sound with the ear … Having smelled an odour with the nose … Having tasted a taste with the tongue, is one who experiences the taste but does not experience lust (rāga) for the taste; and, lust for tastes being absent internally, he understands: 'There is no lust for tastes within me.' …
