[1026] "Bhikkhus, just as, among whatever animals there are, the lion, the king of beasts, is declared their foremost — that is, in strength, in speed, and in courage — even so, bhikkhus, among whatever states conducive to awakening (bodhipakkhiyā dhammā) there are, the faculty of wisdom (paññindriya) is declared their foremost — that is, for awakening."
