Mallikasutta

[1028] Bhikkhus, as long as noble knowledge (ariyañāṇa) has not arisen in the noble disciple (ariyasāvaka), so long is there no stability of the four faculties (indriya), so long is there no steadiness of the four faculties. But, bhikkhus, when noble knowledge has arisen in the noble disciple, then there is stability of the four faculties, then there is steadiness of the four faculties.
