[1043] "Bhikkhus, just as red sandalwood is declared the foremost of whatever fragrant heartwoods there are, so too, bhikkhus, the faculty of wisdom (paññindriya) is declared the foremost of whatever states pertaining to awakening (bodhipakkhiyā dhammā) there are — that is, for the sake of awakening."
