[1056] "Here, venerable sir, a bhikkhu whose taints (āsava) are destroyed develops the faculty of faith (saddhindriya), which leads to peace, which leads to awakening; he develops the faculty of energy (vīriyindriya); he develops the faculty of mindfulness (satindriya); he develops the faculty of concentration (samādhindriya); he develops the faculty of wisdom (paññindriya), which leads to peace, which leads to awakening. This indeed, venerable sir, is the unsurpassed security from bondage (yogakkhema), seeing which a bhikkhu whose taints are destroyed shows supreme veneration toward the Tathāgata or toward the Tathāgata's dispensation."
