[1158] "But it was because he wished to inspire a sense of urgency (saṃvega) in you, bhikkhus, that the bhikkhu Moggallāna shook, made quake, and made tremble the mansion of Migāra's mother with his big toe. What do you think, bhikkhus: through the development and abundant cultivation of which dhammas is the bhikkhu Moggallāna of such great spiritual power (iddhi), of such great might?"
"Venerable sir, our teachings are rooted in the Blessed One, guided by the Blessed One, have the Blessed One as their recourse. It would indeed be good, venerable sir, if the meaning of this statement would become clear to the Blessed One himself; having heard it from the Blessed One, the bhikkhus will remember it."
