[128] "And what, bhikkhus, is the path, what is the way of practice for final Nibbāna without clinging (anupādāparinibbāna)? It is just this Noble Eightfold Path (ariyo aṭṭhaṅgiko maggo); that is: right view … right concentration (samādhi). This, bhikkhus, is the path, this is the way of practice for final Nibbāna without clinging. Being asked thus, bhikkhus, you should answer those wanderers of other sects (aññatitthiyā paribbājakā) in this way."

the span, the taints, with their destruction,
true knowledge and liberation, and knowledge (ñāṇa),
