[1410] "Bhikkhus, concentration through mindfulness of breathing (ānāpānassatisamādhi), when developed and cultivated, leads to the destruction of the taints (āsava)." … (to be expanded in full). "Bhikkhus, when concentration through mindfulness of breathing has been developed in this way, cultivated in this way, it leads to the destruction of the taints."

Icchānaṅgala, Sakaṃbhiya,¹
And two further ones concerning Ānanda;
Two spoken concerning bhikkhus,²
The fetter, the underlying tendency,
The journey, and the destruction of the taints.
