[1458] "Householders (gahapatayo), I shall teach you an exposition of the Dhamma (dhammapariyāya) that is to be applied to oneself. Listen to it and attend closely; I shall speak."
"Yes, sir," those brahmin householders of Veḷudvāra replied to the Blessed One. The Blessed One said this:
