[1679] "Bhikkhus, what is the noble truth (ariyasacca) of suffering (dukkha)? It should be said: the five aggregates subject to clinging (upādānakkhandha). Which five? The aggregate subject to clinging that is form (rūpa) … the aggregate subject to clinging that is consciousness (viññāṇa). This, bhikkhus, is called the noble truth of suffering."
