[1681] And what, bhikkhus, is the noble truth (ariyasacca) of the cessation of suffering (dukkha)? It is the remainderless fading away and cessation of that very craving (taṇhā), the giving up of it, the relinquishment of it, the release from it, non-reliance upon it. This, bhikkhus, is called the noble truth of the cessation of suffering.
