[1687] And what, bhikkhus, is the noble truth (ariyasacca) of the cessation of suffering (dukkha)? It is the remainderless fading away and cessation of that very craving (taṇhā), the giving up, the relinquishment, the release, the non-attachment to it. This, bhikkhus, is called the noble truth of the cessation of suffering.
