[1785] Just so, bhikkhus, few are those beings who abstain from accepting elephants, cattle, horses, and mares; far more numerous are those beings who do not abstain from accepting elephants, cattle, horses, and mares. The Chapter (is concluded). Summary verse (uddāna): Dancing, beds, silver, grain, meat, and girls, female slaves, goats and sheep, fowl, swine, and elephants. ___________________ [Variant readings: 1.
