[48] Then the Blessed One, at the passing of that half-month, emerged from seclusion and addressed the bhikkhus: "Bhikkhus, I have been dwelling in a portion of that dwelling in which I dwelt when I was first fully awakened. Dwelling thus, I understand thus: there is feeling (vedanā) conditioned by wrong view (micchādiṭṭhi), and there is feeling conditioned by right view (sammādiṭṭhi) … there is feeling conditioned by wrong concentration, and there is feeling conditioned by right concentration (sammāsamādhi); there is feeling conditioned by desire (chanda), there is feeling conditioned by thought (vitakka), there is feeling conditioned by perception. When desire is unstilled, thoughts are unstilled, and perception is unstilled, there is feeling conditioned by that too. When desire is stilled, thoughts are stilled, and perception is stilled, there is feeling conditioned by that too. There is effort for the attainment of what has not yet been attained; when that stage has been reached, there is feeling conditioned by that too."
