[495] Bhikkhus, on whatever occasion a noble disciple (ariyasāvaka), having made it his object, having attended to it, having engaged it with his whole mind, lends ear and listens to the Dhamma — on that occasion the five hindrances (nīvaraṇa) are not present in him, and on that occasion these seven factors of awakening (bojjhaṅga) reach fulfillment by development.
