[50] Then the Blessed One, when those three months had passed, emerged from seclusion (paṭisallāna) and addressed the bhikkhus: "Bhikkhus, in whatever dwelling I dwelt when I was first fully awakened, I have now dwelt in a portion of that same dwelling. Dwelling thus, I understand it in this way: there is feeling (vedayita) conditioned by wrong view, and there is feeling conditioned by the subsiding of wrong view; there is feeling conditioned by right view, and there is feeling conditioned by the subsiding of right view … there is feeling conditioned by wrong concentration (samādhi), and there is feeling conditioned by the subsiding of wrong concentration; there is feeling conditioned by right concentration, and there is feeling conditioned by the subsiding of right concentration; there is feeling conditioned by desire (chanda), and there is feeling conditioned by the subsiding of desire; there is feeling conditioned by thought (vitakka), and there is feeling conditioned by the subsiding of thought; there is feeling conditioned by perception (saññā), and there is feeling conditioned by the subsiding of perception. When desire has not subsided, thoughts have not subsided, and perception has not subsided, there is feeling conditioned by that too. When desire has subsided, thoughts have subsided, and perception has subsided, there is feeling conditioned by that too. There is exertion for the attainment of what has not yet been attained; and when that stage has been reached, there is feeling conditioned by that too."
