[507] Bhikkhus, I will teach you the path that crushes the army of Māra (mārasenappamaddana); listen to it. And what, bhikkhus, is the path that crushes the army of Māra? It is this: the seven factors of awakening (bojjhaṅga). What seven? The awakening factor of mindfulness … the awakening factor of equanimity. This, bhikkhus, is the path that crushes the army of Māra.
