[69] Bhikkhus, I praise the right practice (sammāpaṭipadā) whether of a layperson or of one gone forth. A layperson or one gone forth, bhikkhus, who is practicing rightly, by reason of undertaking right practice, accomplishes the method (ñāya), the wholesome Dhamma.
And what, bhikkhus, is the right practice? It is this: right view … right concentration (samādhi). This, bhikkhus, is called the right practice.
Bhikkhus, I praise the right practice whether of a layperson or of one gone forth. A layperson or one gone forth, bhikkhus, who is practicing rightly, by reason of undertaking right practice, accomplishes the method, the wholesome Dhamma.
