Suttapiṭaka · Saṁyuttanikāya · Mahāvaggasaṁyutta · Vol. 19 · Section 733

[733] On one occasion the Blessed One was dwelling at Sāvatthī, in Jeta's Grove, Anāthapiṇḍika's park. Now on that occasion the Venerable Sāriputta was dwelling among the Magadhans at the village of Nāḷakagāmaka — afflicted with illness, in pain, gravely ill. The novice (samaṇuddesa) Cunda was the Venerable Sāriputta's attendant. Then the Venerable Sāriputta attained final Nibbāna through that very illness.
