[751] "When, Uttiya, your virtue (sīla) is well purified and your view (diṭṭhi) is straight, then, Uttiya, relying upon virtue, established in virtue, you should develop the four establishments of mindfulness (satipaṭṭhāna). What four? Here, Uttiya, dwell contemplating the body in the body, ardent, clearly comprehending, mindful, having removed covetousness and grief regarding the world. Dwell contemplating … in feelings (vedanā) … in mind (citta) … contemplating dhammas in dhammas, ardent, clearly comprehending, mindful, having removed covetousness and grief regarding the world. When, Uttiya, relying upon virtue, established in virtue, you develop these four establishments of mindfulness in this way, then, Uttiya, you will go beyond the domain of Death (maccudheyya)."
