Duccaritasutta

[832] "Therefore, bhikkhu, you should first purify the very starting point with regard to wholesome states (kusalā dhammā). And what is the starting point of wholesome states? Here, bhikkhu, having abandoned bodily misconduct (kāyaduccarita), you will develop good bodily conduct (kāyasucarita); having abandoned verbal misconduct, you will develop good verbal conduct; having abandoned mental misconduct, you will develop good mental conduct."
