Sāriputtasutta

[9] "Good, good, Sāriputta! This entire holy life (brahmacariya), Sāriputta, is good friendship (kalyāṇamittatā), good companionship, good comradeship. Sāriputta, when a bhikkhu has a good friend, a good companion, a good comrade, it is to be expected of him that he will develop the noble eightfold path (magga), that he will cultivate the noble eightfold path."
