[963] "It is wonderful, venerable sir! It is marvellous, venerable sir! Now, venerable sir, the Blessed One's complexion is no longer so pure and bright as before; his limbs are slack and flaccid (sanṭhāni), wrinkled; his body is stooped forward; and an alteration in the faculties (indriya) is seen — in the eye faculty, the ear faculty, the nose faculty, the tongue faculty, and the body faculty."
