[303] There is no offense (anāpatti): if a knowledgeable male person (viññū purisaviggaha) is present; if he teaches the Dhamma in five or six sentences; if he teaches the Dhamma in fewer than five or six sentences; if, having risen and sat down again, he teaches the Dhamma; if the woman (mātugāma) rises and sits down again, and he teaches her then; if he teaches another woman; if she asks a question, and being asked the question he speaks; if a woman listens while he is speaking for the benefit of another; if he is mad; if he is the first offender (ādikammika).
