[428] There is no offense (anāpatti): if he is giving a recitation (uddesa); if he is giving an interrogation (paripucchā); if, being told, "Recite, venerable sir (ayya)," he recites; if he asks a question; if, being asked a question, he answers; if, while he is speaking for the benefit of another, bhikkhunīs listen; if it is to a sikkhamānā (probationary nun); if it is to a sāmaṇerī (female novice); if he is insane; if he is the first offender (ādikammika).
The second training rule (sikkhāpada) is finished.
