[507] There is no offense (anāpatti): if he gives after having it made left over (atiritta); if he gives saying, "Have it made left over and then eat"; if he gives saying, "Go, carrying this for the sake of another"; if he gives the remainder of a sick bhikkhu's food; if he gives yāmakālika, sattāhakālika, or yāvajīvika (medicines) saying, "Consume this when there is a reason"; if he is insane; if he is the first offender.
