**A battle (uyyodhikaṃ)** means: where a clash of combat is seen.
**A muster of forces (balaggaṃ)** means: "so many elephants, so many horses, so many chariots, so many foot soldiers."
**A marshaling of the army (senābyūhaṃ)** means: "let the elephants be here, let the horses be here, let the chariots be here, let the foot soldiers be here."
**A division (anīkaṃ)** means: an elephant division, a cavalry division, a chariot division, an infantry division. Three elephants are the smallest elephant division; three horses are the smallest cavalry division; three chariots are the smallest chariot division; four men with arrows in hand are the smallest infantry division.
