[159] Bhikkhus, it is impossible, there is no chance, that a person accomplished in view (diṭṭhisampanna) could, with a mind (citta) of hatred, shed the blood of a Tathāgata; there is no such possibility. But it is possible, bhikkhus, that an ordinary person (puthujjana) could, with a mind of hatred, shed the blood of a Tathāgata; there is such a possibility.
