[434] Bhikkhus, possessing two qualities (dhammā), a certain person here, upon the breaking up of the body, after death, is reborn in a good destination, a heavenly world. Which two? Non-anger (akkodha) and non-grudging (anupanāha) … non-detraction (amakkha) and non-rivalry (apaḷāsa) … non-envy (anissā) and non-avarice (amacchariya) … non-deceit (amāyā) and non-hypocrisy (asāṭheyya) … moral shame (hiri) and moral dread (ottappa). Possessing these two qualities, bhikkhus, a certain person here, upon the breaking up of the body, after death, is reborn in a good destination, a heavenly world.
