[172] There the Venerable Sāriputta addressed the bhikkhus: "Friends, bhikkhus." "Friend," those bhikkhus replied to the Venerable Sāriputta. The Venerable Sāriputta said this:
"Friends, half a month after my full ordination I realized the analytic insight of meanings (atthapaṭisambhidā), section by section and phrase by phrase. In many ways I declare it, teach it, make it known, establish it, disclose it, analyze it, and elucidate it. Whoever has any doubt or uncertainty may question me, and I shall answer; our Teacher, who is thoroughly skilled in the dhammas, is present before us.
"Friends, half a month after my full ordination I realized the analytic insight of dhammas (dhammapaṭisambhidā), section by section and phrase by phrase. In many ways I declare it, teach it, make it known, establish it, disclose it, analyze it, and elucidate it. Whoever has any doubt or uncertainty may question me, and I shall answer; our Teacher, who is thoroughly skilled in the dhammas, is present before us.

In many ways I declare it, teach it, make it known, establish it, disclose it, analyze it, and elucidate it. Whoever has any doubt or uncertainty may question me, and I shall answer; our Teacher, who is thoroughly skilled in the dhammas, is present before us.
"Friends, half a month after my full ordination I realized the analytic insight of ready wit (paṭibhāṇapaṭisambhidā), section by section and phrase by phrase. In many ways I declare it, teach it, make it known, establish it, disclose it, analyze it, and elucidate it. Whoever has any doubt or uncertainty may question me, and I shall answer; our Teacher, who is thoroughly skilled in the dhammas, is present before us."
