[137] Bhikkhus, these five sleep little at night and keep awake much. What five? A woman intent on a man, bhikkhus, sleeps little at night and keeps awake much. A man intent on a woman, bhikkhus, sleeps little at night and keeps awake much. A thief intent on plunder, bhikkhus, sleeps little at night and keeps awake much. A king engaged in royal duties, bhikkhus, sleeps little at night and keeps awake much. A bhikkhu intent on disjunction (visaṃyoga), bhikkhus, sleeps little at night and keeps awake much. These, indeed, bhikkhus, are the five who sleep little at night and keep awake much.
