[27] "Bhikkhus, develop concentration (samādhi) that is measureless, being prudent (nipaka) and mindful. Bhikkhus, for those developing measureless concentration (samādhi), prudent and mindful, five knowledges (ñāṇa) arise within one personally. What five? The knowledge (ñāṇa) arises within one personally: 'This concentration is pleasant in the present and has a pleasant result in the future.' The knowledge arises within one personally: 'This concentration is noble and spiritual (nirāmisa).' The knowledge arises within one personally: 'This concentration is not cultivated by inferior persons.' The knowledge arises within one personally: 'This concentration is peaceful and sublime, gained through tranquilization, attained to unification of mind (ekodibhāva), and not reined in and checked by forceful suppression by means of volitional formations.' The knowledge arises within one personally: 'Mindful, I attain this concentration; mindful, I emerge from it.' Bhikkhus, develop concentration that is measureless, being prudent and mindful. Bhikkhus, for those developing measureless concentration, prudent and mindful, these five knowledges arise within one personally."
