[393] Bhikkhus, without abandoning six dhammas, one is incapable of dwelling contemplating dhammas in dhammas … of dwelling contemplating dhammas in dhammas internally … in dhammas externally … in dhammas internally and externally. Which six? Delight in work (kammārāmatā), delight in talk (bhassārāmatā), delight in sleep (niddārāmatā), delight in company (saṅgaṇikārāmatā), being unguarded in the doors of the sense faculties (indriyesu aguttadvāratā), and immoderation in eating (bhojane amattaññutā). Bhikkhus, without abandoning these six dhammas, one is incapable of dwelling contemplating dhammas in dhammas internally and externally.
