[10] Bhikkhus, there are these seven fetters (saṃyojana). What seven? The fetter of attraction (anunaya), the fetter of repulsion (paṭigha), the fetter of views (diṭṭhi), the fetter of doubt, the fetter of conceit (māna), the fetter of envy (issā), and the fetter of avarice (macchariya). These, bhikkhus, are the seven fetters. The Dhana Vagga, the first. Its summary: Two on the dear, power, wealth (both in brief and in detail), Ugga and the fetters, abandonment, and with avarice. _________________ The Anusaya Vagga, the second.
