[190] Bhikkhus, possessed of eight factors a great thief quickly comes to ruin and does not last long. Which eight? He attacks one who does not attack him; he takes goods without leaving any remainder; he abducts a woman; he violates a maiden; he plunders one gone forth (pabbajita); he plunders the royal treasury; he does his work too close to home; and he is not skilled in hiding (his plunder). Bhikkhus, possessed of these eight factors a great thief quickly comes to ruin and does not last long.
