[407] This is what the Blessed One said. Elated, those bhikkhus rejoiced in the Blessed One's statement. And while this exposition (veyyākaraṇa) was being spoken, the minds (citta) of some sixty bhikkhus were liberated from the taints (āsava) through non-clinging. The Dvayatānupassanā Sutta, the Twelfth, is concluded. Its summary (uddāna): Truth, acquisitions (upadhi), and ignorance (avijjā), with volitional formations (saṅkhārā) and consciousness (viññāṇa) as the fifth; contact (phassa), feeling (vedanā), craving (taṇhā), clinging (upādāna), instigation (ārambha), nutriments (āhāra); perturbation (iñjita), wavering (phandita), form (rūpa), and truth together with suffering (dukkha): sixteen. The Mahāvagga, the Third Chapter, is concluded.
