[276] 9. Through unreasoned attention (ayoniso manasikāra) I devoted myself to adornment; I was restless and fickle, afflicted by sensual lust (kāmarāga). Through the Buddha, the Kinsman of the Sun (ādiccabandhu), who is skilled in means, I practiced in a reasoned way and drew my mind (citta) out of existence (bhava). The Elder Nanda.
